@StrickenBiged I've wanted to try the trilogy, and did buy it but held off when I started seeing so much casual racism surrounding EA. I don't like the company either, I like racism even less. I played the first three Dragon Age games and found them to be absolutely brilliant, it's impossible to touch Mass Effect without thinking that I'm enabling division. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed them and I hope those developers do land on their feet. I'm in the Middle East right now and do have Arab friends on this site too. I don't think geography should matter, if I did I would avoid certain games, I never have. I'll be sure to tag you in if and when I ever try the series, right now I'm not feeling it. Which is completely irrelevant when real jobs and real lives are at stake. I'm assuming they go in the order that they were released? There are books too.
- The Original Trilogy Era
Mass Effect: Revelation (2007) – Prequel to the first game.
Mass Effect: Ascension (2008) – Set between Mass Effect 1 & 2.
Mass Effect: Retribution (2010) – Set between Mass Effect 2 & 3.
Mass Effect: Deception (2012) – Set after Retribution. - The Andromeda Era
Mass Effect Andromeda: Initiation (2017) – Prequel focusing on Mass Effect Andromeda: Nexus Uprising (2017) – Leads directly into the Andromeda game.
Mass Effect Andromeda: Annihilation (2018) – Set during the Ark Keelah Si'yah's journey.
Andromeda is I'm assuming a standalone game. I'd have to work the novels in too, in the right order, and probably in audiobooks.
