One momentous event occurred last weekend at Gamescom that many people did not see: the two Terraria teams were able to meet in person for the first time since the pandemic.
“We went over all sorts of topics, from how we can better work together to ideas for future Terraria updates and beyond,” the devs said in the latest State of the Game report. “The results of that planning will all come together in a couple of weeks once we can go over notes and turn that into what might fit best into each future update. We will be sharing at least some of the big picture in regards to how everything will operate going ahead in the near future. You will definitely want to stay tuned for that!”
As for the game itself, Patch 1.4.5.7 came out for the PC last week and is heading to console and mobile “very soon.” After that, the first phase of crossplay is “on deck” for Patch 1.4.6.
